The name itself pretty much defines Community Access Television. It's a television channel which the community can access. Comcast encourages residents and non-profit organizations to take advantage of its availability in order to provide programs that reflect local community interests.

As mentioned on the previous page, some community governments have made additional arrangements within their franchise agreement, requiring the cable television provider to also make available a production facility and production equipment. Because our particular operation provides the community access channels for fifteen different communities, production facilities, production equipment, and channels can vary from one community to the next.
